Golden Orange fest accepting applications

The Antalya Golden Orange International Film Festival is now accepting competition applications. The 46th year of the festival, organized by the Antalya Foundation for Culture and Arts with support from Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, will be held from Oct. 10 to 17.
The festival will include competitions for feature films, short films and documentaries. This year’s winner will receive 300,000 Turkish Liras. The festival’s competitors will include well-known directors such as Zeki Demirkubuz and Reha Erdem, as well as foreign and new directors.

First located by the Texas university’s Institute of Nautical Archaeology and Bodrum Museum survey teams in the early 90s, a shipwreck site near the Çeşme peninsula was immediately marked as unique. Recently, three marble column pieces were raised to the surface after more than 2,000 years underwater and delivered to the Bodrum Museum of Underwater Archaeology

The number of foreign companies operating in Turkey reached 22,505 in June, Treasury Undersecretariat data have shown.
Three more Turkish films have been added to the lineup of this year's Montreal World Film Festival, raising the total number of Turkish movies in the festival to five.
